Put iPod TV Shows Under TV Shows Menu

When I first got my video capable 5G iPod, I took the time to convert all of my favorite TV shows for the iPod. I got done with the process and was just amazed at how great the shows looked on the screen.
However, one of the things that reall bothered me is that I was unable to put the TV shows under the “TV Shows” menu. They were just in “Movies”.
It looks like this may be possible now with a program mrTVPod. (Mac and Win version) I just saw this today and plan to try it when I get the chance. If any of you have success with the program, please feel free to write about it and we’ll post it to FreeMacWare.com with credit to you.

you dont need a program to do that. all you do is right click the TV Show in itunes. The eddit window thing apears and it says “video type” select tv show and it moves it to your tv shows

Key, this post was written over a year ago. In an earlier version of iTunes, i was just not that easy.
We’re all glad to see Apple change it though.

It is actually still a problem. Though the TV is catagorized in iTunes as a TV Show it will not appear as such on the iPod. You still need to hack the tags to have it appear correctly. Curently, only TV Show purchased on iTunes Store appear as TV Shows on the iPod.

He Guys,
I’ve solved the problem with tv show menu. You have to edit the episode id. Try using the same episode id used in the I-tunes store.

Guys its actually easier than you think. All you guys need to do is right click on the video in Movies, click Get Info. go to video and change the setting for video type from movies to tv shows. then put in all the info like season number episode etc if you want

guys Rajhi is right you have to right click it go to get info and go to options and it says video type click the arrow and go to tv shows

Once the TV show is in the movies folder of Itunes right click the tv show that you want to move over to the tv show folder and click on get info once that menu opens up click on options tab once that window opens up click on media kind and from the drop down menu select TV SHOW then it will move the selected file over to that TV show (you can do multiple ones as well but no need to explain as I believe it is self explanatory from that point on I have Iutnes 8.1 when the 3.0 firmware came out
