From the same site that first mentioned the Apple car in the Piston Circuit, here is another Apple sighting in the most recent Disney movie, Wild Hogs.

My wife and I went to see the movie this last weekend and it was really good. John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy work nice together. Plus, I think every warm blooded male wants to get on a motorcycle and cruise cross country with three good buddies. As a rider myself, it spoke to my soul.

Toward the beginning of the movie when they decide to go on the trip, they meet up and talk about how crazy they’re going to be on the ride. One by one, they all take aout their cell phones and destroy them so they have no responsibility. But, the best part is when the computer programming Dudley (played by Macy) shows up and talks about his new tattoo. The tattoo is awesome, but even better is what he says about it. He takes a nice little stab at the sue-happy company.

(Audio Clip here.)

Dudley- “I’m a biker, dude! I got a tat!”
Doug- “It’s an Apple…”
Dudley- “I know. Trademarked. But what are they gonna say? It’s in my skin b**ch!”

Now that’s classy.

Is Macy trying to repent for doing the voiceovers for all those Microsoft commercials?

    wicked!

Isn’t Steve Jobs on Disney’s Board of Directors now? I think this was actually a tounge-in-cheek market placement. I think it’s great.

  5. Tim Says:

I have a black one just like it on my back… people love it!

Yes, John Burrows - because one needs to repent if one advertises for Microsoft. Go drink more kool aid.

    @applesux-

People who read the Apple stories on digg, click thru to the article, read the stories, read the comments, then take the time to comment just so they can sound tough are lame.

Apple had previews of the movie on their website …

Yay, even more bad commercial tie ins. Too bad Steve Jobs and Disney have become pseudo lovers. Would have been much cooler to see the penguin or even the windows logo. A lot happier looking and shows off stuf that puts FUNCTION before FORM. Apple needs to get a clue and learn how to but function first not just make things look pretty.

  13. Cory Says:

I flipped out with excitement as I saw that. People thought I was crazy in that movie. Haha.

  14. Dennis Says:

This is absolutely awesome product placement. I find it funny how the people who don’t use Apple products have to attack Apple. The product is more useful, and better designed but they feel the need to say Apple puts form before function.

This simple statement proves only that you SULTAN have no clue about that which you speak.

  15. Bob Says:

Hey, like always everybody has to go over the line and try to make something out of nothing. The apple logo was there only to make the point that Bill was a computer geek. I think apple happened to tell the story. And thats the name of that tune.

Wild Hogs was an extremely funny movie. I guess the tattoos concept is cool (if you’re an apple fan). I guess my question is whether or not the tattoo is even legit? Is that really his tattoo or was it a marketing slip by Apple? If his tattoo is real, the tattoo ink that was used looks like crap!

I am the tattooed biker, that ‘Dudley’ flashes his Apple-Tat at, in the Del Fuego’s bar. My “Leavenworth” ink is REAL! Mr. Macy’s “ink” was a temporary! Thankfully, it didn’t have to be removed the old fashoined way: a} rusty bastard file, or b} Pit Bull bite. Please, folks just try, and laugh at the movie! It was all great Fun! FUEGOS FOREVER!
