Steve Wozniak, storied character in the world that Apple built. He was the co-founder of Apple, and still a very much respected expert in his field. Therefore his criticisms of the iPhone were pretty substantial, and were hopefully heard.
Wozniak spoke at the Broadband and Beyond conference in Sydney Australia. Although he criticized the iPhone, it should be noted his criticisms were more about wanting more, than just bashing the handset. His big beef with the iPhone is that it doesn’t incorporate 3G broadband. While most of the smart phones being released have 3G, Apple has fallen behind in this aspect. He also claims that the iPhone isn’t the best option in terms of actually calling and speaking to people.
Along with the criticism, Wozniak gave some praise for things the iPhone has been able to do. He talked about how great the iPhone interface is, and how browsing is much better than other mobile internet devices, “Not one of them made me feel good about accessing the Internet, browser-style until the iPhone”
